About Tama Organic Life

It has been over 10 years since I first loaded my van with vegetables at an organic farm. That was my first step in supporting organic farmers, and enforced my belief in the important of eating organic foods.

I use these delicious vegetables to spread the word about the benefits of organic produce. By getting more people to eat organic vegetables, I hope to increase the interest in life around farms, and the importance of soil, water, bugs and the entire environment.
You have many choices when shopping at Tama Organic Life.  You can shop in person, eat in, have a custom order made for delivery or pickup, or have the pre-made value box delivered to your home or office.

For custom orders, each Monday I provide a price list and comments, and you email or fax in your order. The orders are ready for pickup or delivery on Wednesday or Thursday  each week. If you are not interested in the custom order, the $25 value box is an excellent choice. This box typically includes items like (is it possible to list some), and is delivered to you each week. With you value box, you always have the option to have items added, removed or substituted by something else.

If you would like to stop by in person, the shop is open Tuesday – Saturday, 10am -6pm, or, come by on Fridays or Saturdays to try some tasty and all-natural foods like soups, sandwiches and brown rice "Onigiri (riceballs)". My store carries a variety of Japanese food ingredients such as tasty organic miso, soy sauce, daikon, gobo (burdock), tofu, natural whole salts, soy milk and various organic meats. Please note, we do not have restaurant service on Wednesdays and Thursdays because we are very busy with deliveries.

I am an advocate of the Macrobiotic diet, which means I eat local vegetables that are in season, and eat everything from the leaves, the roots to the skins. Therefore, it is important that the vegetables do not contain any harmful pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, or hormones etc. I want to share my belief in the importance associated with eating organic foods and supporting organic farmers. I firmly believe this will lead to a healthier life, a better understanding of the environment, and a greater appreciation of nature.
